Attention Women Beginners…

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Was Created For a Smaller Person to Defeat a Larger and Stronger Attacker- Perfectly Designed For Women’s Self Defense

The creators of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ), the Gracie family from Brazil, modified Traditional Japanese Jiu-Jitsu so that a smaller person could defend themselves with leverage and strategy, not strength.

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu’s focus is grappling.  And many times when a man attacks a women, he will grab her and try to bring her to the ground, which is the specialty of BJJ.

In Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, students spend a lot of time learning how to control and submit any attacker that is either standing, or on their knees in front of them while they are on their back.  This position is called the guard.

One of the most important critical self defense skills for women to learn is how to fight off of their back.  Utilizing their legs, the person in the bottom position can strike, sweep, or put their opponent in a submission (a joint lock or a choke).

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is a great cross training workout!

The classes are fun, a great workout, and they will give you confidence that will enhance all areas of your life!
